The Challenge
Sodexo approached Nine23 regarding a requirement for a UK secure private cloud managed service to meet the strict UK Sovereign compliance requirements for a large UK public sector contract, the service would be handling data up to the OFFICIAL-SENSITIVE classification.
Sodexo had a challenging timeline of 5 months for a fully deployed accreditable capability and a complex governance requirement that had to be met for the client. The requirement to host an application (and all associated working environments) with the required infrastructure support in a timely manner was critical.
Supply chain de risking and the selection of a supplier which could meet both Sodexo’s, and their client’s requirements, were key elements.
The Solution
Nine23’s value to Sodexo’s challenging requirement was noticeable from the first phase which focussed on the client’s onboarding and compliance – mapping. As an SME, Nine23 takes great pride in its responsiveness and agility. In this instance, we able to immediately demonstrate and prove our compliance (our, accreditations, certifications and past performance) rapidly, we onboarded with Sodexo in one hour. Key accreditations include:
- Nine23 Technical staff are SC and NPPV3 cleared as a minimum.
- Nine23 is ISO9001, ISO 27001 (Platform FLEX in scope), ISO 20000 & 14001 compliant.
- Nine23 is Cyber Essentials Plus certified.
Nine23 has invested in a leading UK Private Cloud (Sovereign) environment called Platform FLEX, which provides market leading Managed Services & Managed Hosting capabilities to Enterprise organisations which are mandated to operate within and adhere to the UK Government’s strict compliance and regulatory standards.
Alongside our core platform we have a suitably qualified and experienced team (SQEP) who recognise and understand the critical nature of the ‘end-user’ operations, and will design, build and implement services accordingly. Given the challenging Sodexo timeframe requirements for their operational system deployment Nine23’s responsive approach, proved to be a timely key enabler of the service.
Nine23 recommended a phased approach to meet the Sodexo requirements before transitioning to a live fully managed service delivery solution. Working collaboratively with Sodexo, enabling end to end customer service, was at the core of Nine23’s design and delivery approach.
