Secure by Design: three words that are very easy to say, with hugely significant implications if just paid lip service to. The concept of Secure by Design is not new, and indeed, embedding cybersecurity into the delivery of digital services at every stage of the process has always been a core differentiator of Nine23. The novelty is how the government has re-framed and formalised the approach, moving away from point-in-time accreditations to an outcomes-based, ongoing adherence to a series of security principles from business case, through to the design, build, operation, and disposal of digital services. Security can no longer be considered as an afterthought.
Nine23 has teamed up with BNS Cyber, one of only a handful of organisations certified by NCSC to provide Security Architecture and Risk Management offerings under the NCSC Assured Cyber Security Consultancy (ACSC) Service. This powerful partnership allows us to design and implement business-enabling systems that not only support your business and user requirements but also ensure that proportionate, pragmatic, and assured security controls are in place through the lifecycle of the system. The intent of the collaboration is to offer augmented Information Assurance and cybersecurity (advisory services) by integrating BNS Cyber’s consultancy services into Nine23’s delivery and managed service offering.

Since 2006, BNS specialised in security consultancy under the NCSC Listed Advisor (CLAS) Scheme. BNS has now fully transitioned to a security specialism – BNSCyber, holding senior and lead certifications in the NCSC Certified Professional Programme (CCP) for Security Information Risk Advisor and IA Architect respectively.
